I have attempted to move the xlive.dll and similar files from SysWOW64 to System32. Windows Versions", and nothing else in the drop-down, so I'm unable to do that unless there's a fix. I have been told to run the Windows Live Sign-in Assistant setup in compatibility mode as well, however I have no option for that, instead the "compatibility mode selector" just says "Previous I have tried reinstalling the game, and GFWL, normally and in compatibility mode for Windows 7, in various combinations, to no avail.
I can confirm that the windows installer did in fact attempt to load.

Downloading and attempting to install either the 32-bit version orĦ4-bit version will result in the "installer" popping up for a split second, then never appearing again. Loading the GFWL client alone works fine, however loading the launcher will ask me to update/install Windows Live Sign-in Assistant. However loading the launcher tells me that it needs to verify my copy of the game by connecting to the LIVE service, which it will repeatedly fail to do so. Initially it does not "fix" the error, but loading the game launcher does not show me this error anymore. Primary solutions have told me to reinstall the game and reinstall GFWL. Installing Fable 3 starts with an error that says " The ordinal 42 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\xlive.dll." I've tried many things, and nothing has worked thus far. I have searched high and low throughout the internet for solutions to the Games for Windows Live issue where installing Windows Live Sign-in Assistant is an impossibility. I have a retail-bought copy of Fable 3, not on steam, but a I've not seen a working solution to this, so I'm hoping by now someone might see this post and have a miracle solution. This has definitely been posted a number of times, and it is now the year 2016.
